Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive complex, cross-functional technical initiatives from conception to production
• Set technical direction for core platform systems, ensuring performance, security, and reliability
• Partner with product, design, and data teams to define and deliver high-impact features
• Mentor and level up engineers through code reviews and design discussions
• Identify and resolve systemic engineering challenges, technical debt, and infrastructure gaps

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling web-based software products
• Track record of delivering complex technical projects with cross-team impact
• Deep expertise in full-stack development, distributed systems, or large-scale backend architecture
• Experience influencing technical direction and driving alignment across teams
• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex concepts to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the fintech space or investment platforms
• Prior experience as a founding or early-stage engineer at a fast-growing startup
• Background in building developer tooling, internal platforms, or infrastructure
