Staff Software Engineer - AOSP

About the Company

Jio Tesseract is an MIT Media Lab spin-off and RIL company on a mission to democratize mixed reality in India. They develop technology for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) oriented products such as cameras, headsets, and smart glasses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy a consumer operating system based on Android Open-Source Project (AOSP)
• Use Agile philosophy for software development and delivery
• Manage software delivery processes using JIRA, Git, and Jenkins/Bitbucket Pipelines
• Collaborate with architects and engineering managers to analyze business needs and deliver scalable libraries and tools

Requirements

• Expert level proficiency in technology and architecture with hands-on coding skills
• Experience with AOSP, HAL, HIDL, and AIDL (Binder)
• Experience in Android camera development (BSP, HAL, Framework, V4L2, ISP, or UVC)
• Experience with Android display pipeline and graphics (OpenGLES, Gralloc, SurfaceFlinger, EGL, or DRM)
• Experience with Android audio modules (ALSA, Audio HAL, AudioFlinger, or Audio Service)
• Proficiency in C/C++ (C++11 through C++19) or Java (8 or 15)
