Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust services powering lending and credit products
• Build and maintain secure, scalable, and well-documented RESTful APIs for client integration
• Lead design reviews, advise on systems architecture, and mentor engineers to uphold high technical standards
• Champion resilient, distributed systems design to ensure platform reliability at global enterprise scale
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful lending solutions
• Promote automated testing, code review, and monitoring practices to ensure platform stability and security
• Proactively drive improvements in platform architecture and engineering delivery efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with modern engineering practices
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role, including mentoring and engineering strategy execution
• Strong backend systems experience with expertise in Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Extensive experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Proven experience with domain-driven design (DDD) and event-driven architectures
• Track record of maintaining high-throughput, low-latency, highly available distributed systems
• Cloud experience with GCP (preferred) or AWS, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with observability tooling such as Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, lending, payments, or credit products
• Experience working with SaaS product offerings as a platform
