Staff Software Engineer, AI

Responsibilities

• Design and ship AI-powered features such as assisted requirement drafting, consistency checks, and impact analysis
• Build agentic workflows to help engineers explore designs, simulate changes, and validate requirements
• Evaluate and integrate language models and related tooling, optimizing for reliability, latency, cost, and debuggability
• Build and maintain infrastructure including data pipelines, evaluation harnesses, prompt management, and observability
• Work across the full stack from backend integrations and APIs to UI hooks
• Partner with product and customers to identify high-value workflows and iterate based on usage

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in applied ML, LLMs, or adjacent fields
• 8+ years of experience developing production software and operating services at scale in the cloud
• Hands-on experience with LLM providers and tooling (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, vector stores, RAG)
• Familiarity with prompt design, retrieval-augmented systems, and evaluation methods
• Ability to reason about tradeoffs between different models and architectures
• Experience with TypeScript/Node.js and Python
