Staff Software Development Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality for data products published through the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks for data pipelines, transformations, APIs, and platform capabilities.
• Build scalable reconciliation frameworks to compare Data Lake outputs against source systems, including operational databases and upstream services.
• Define data quality metrics, validation rules, and automated monitoring to detect anomalies.
• Execute test strategies for AI-powered Analytics Agent capabilities, including validating user intents and creating evaluation datasets.
• Measure AI response accuracy and consistency while identifying hallucinations and edge cases.
• Drive root cause analysis for production data quality issues and collaborate on preventive improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as an SDET specifically within Data Engineering or Data Platform environments.
• Deep expertise in data engineering principles and data platform architectures.
• Proven experience in automated testing framework design for large-scale data systems.
• Experience building and implementing AI evaluation frameworks to ensure the accuracy of AI-generated insights.
• Strong understanding of data correctness, completeness, consistency, freshness, and lineage.
