About the role
Responsibilities
- Own and drive complex, escalated technical issues from initial intake through to final resolution
- Perform deep technical troubleshooting across software, cloud, and infrastructure layers
- Conduct advanced debugging, including memory dump and crash analysis, performance tracing, and kernel debugging
- Analyze logs, metrics, and telemetry across distributed systems to identify root causes
- Partner with R&D teams to log high-quality defects, provide reproduction data, and propose fixes
- Submit and review pull requests for fixes, observability improvements, and tooling
- Identify recurring issues and drive automation and process improvements to reduce toil
- Mentor SDS engineers and lead technical design and postmortem reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 10+ years of experience in software development or a related technical role
- Deep technical troubleshooting expertise across software, cloud, and infrastructure
- Experience with memory dump and crash analysis (e.g., WinDbg)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience working with distributed systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux and multi-platform OS environments (Windows, macOS)
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with observability tooling like Elastic Stack or Kibana
- Knowledge of containerized environments including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, or Databricks
- Background in networking or cybersecurity
