Staff Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy and architecture for complex distributed systems and core platform components.
• Architect, develop, and optimize microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native applications using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted development practices and GenAI tools to enhance engineering productivity.
• Mentor engineers across multiple teams, guiding them in design, coding, and debugging best practices.
• Lead system design reviews, architecture discussions, and technical deep dives.
• Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact, multi-team engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in Java Backend Development.
• Deep expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Proven experience shipping scalable, high-availability microservices-based architectures.
• Proficiency with Kafka, JMS, and distributed system patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of databases such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Experience designing and scaling systems on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying LLMs/GenAI to improve engineering workflows and developer productivity.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven systems, or CQRS.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and container-based deployment architectures.
• Experience with application servers like Tomcat.
