Staff Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical vision for integrating LLMs (specifically Claude) into internal tools and designing autonomous agents to automate call center workflows.
• Architect production-grade solutions on Google Vertex AI to streamline member interactions with identity verification.
• Drive the evolution of member support-facing verification UI flows, ensuring seamless AI integration.
• Develop shared UI components and API patterns to support scalable, multi-product verification workflows.
• Ensure all AI-driven automations comply with strict IAM, security, and data protection standards.
• Mentor engineers on prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and modern full-stack best practices using Rails, Go, and React.
• Lead experimentation efforts, including A/B testing AI agent performance and detecting fraud through UX signals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in full-stack engineering with a track record of scaling customer-facing applications.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with LLM integration (Claude/OpenAI) and building agentic workflows.
• 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails, GoLang, and React/TypeScript.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of component-driven design, state management, and building secure backends with PostgreSQL.
• Experience building or maintaining "Human-in-the-loop" AI systems within a support environment.
• Deep understanding of identity verification, regulatory frameworks (NIST, IAL2), or IAM digital security.
• Familiarity with design systems, shared component libraries, and modular SDK design.
• Experience with data pipeline tools for feature flags and secure data transformation.
