Staff Software Architect

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain backend and micro front-end components
• Ensure platform qualities and non-functional requirements are met
• Document architecture evolutions and communicate them to technical teams
• Implement efficient, testable code following coding standards and scalability goals
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers in an Agile environment
• Provide technical guidance and perform architectural reviews
• Design and deliver end-to-end initiatives with minimal guidance
• Participate in root cause analysis and process improvements

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field
• 8+ years of experience in Software Development (or 6+ with Master's, 3+ with PhD)
• 4+ years of experience with Java or similar object-oriented languages
• 2+ years of experience developing microservices
• Expertise in Cloud Architecture, DDD, Clean Architecture, and Hexagonal Architecture
• Experience with AWS or GCP
• Experience with Spring Boot/Spring Framework and Kubernetes
• Experience with Agentic AI architecture and LLM orchestration (LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Experience designing AI-native data backends and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with middleware, platform, or system of systems
• Proficiency in web technologies like JSON and JWT
• Experience using AI productivity tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude
