Staff SoC Architect

Responsibilities

• Distill product requirements and their effects on SoC/platform design trade-offs
• Collaborate with processor, SoC and system architects to determine optimal solutions
• Guide silicon design, verification, and hardware engineers to ensure implementation correctness
• Evaluate potential hard and soft third-party IP and liaise with vendors
• Design and specify performant SoC sub-systems and their associated integrations
• Manage queries for silicon bring-up, characterisation, and evaluation activities
• Drive delivery of technical objectives and mentor technical engineers

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related subject
• Experience in technical specification of complex silicon SoC devices
• Strong software development experience
• Solid understanding of complex computer/SoC architecture
• Experience writing technical specifications
• Knowledge of RTL development and verification processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Architecture modelling experience in Python, C++, or Rust
• Experience with machine learning or massively parallel computing systems
• Proficiency in Verilog
• Knowledge of DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, or on-chip networks
