Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance shared public cloud services with a focus on availability, performance, security, and user experience
• Provide technical leadership for cloud hosting solutions and transform business requirements into scalable operational designs
• Collaborate with internal development teams during product planning sessions to communicate platform value
• Implement automation solutions and maintain critical documentation, including architecture diagrams and run books
• Act as a Level 3 escalation point, providing technical mentorship and training to operations teams
• Manage AWS/Azure best practices and ensure alignment with corporate governance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 10+ years of experience in IT operations, including networking, computing, and storage
• 5+ years of experience with AWS and/or Azure, including at least 2 years in an architect or design role
• Proficiency in Python or Powershell/.NET and experience using Git
• Experience with both Windows and Linux deployment and common services
• Strong background in Incident, Change, and Capacity Management

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience with 3+ years of dedicated experience in both AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Kubernetes deployment and operations
• Experience supporting development tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps
• Experience with observability, monitoring platforms, and Jira Service Management
• Experience working within a regulatory change control environment
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile processes, and AI/ML analysis tools
