Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability, scalability, and operational excellence for critical user-facing systems and services
• Partner with product and infrastructure teams to design highly available and performant systems
• Identify systemic risks and build proactive mitigation strategies to reduce incidents
• Eliminate repetitive operational work through automation and tooling
• Lead complex incident response efforts and drive blameless postmortems
• Define and champion best practices around SLIs/SLOs, capacity management, and operational maturity
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across SRE and software engineering teams

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems
• Strong experience supporting high-traffic, user-facing production environments
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, Linux systems, or cloud-native architectures
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or similar
• Strong understanding of observability systems including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues across applications, infrastructure, and networking

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating systems at internet-scale traffic volumes
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Envoy, Kafka, ClickHouse, Cassandra, Redis, or similar
• Experience with CDN optimization, edge reliability, or traffic engineering
• Contributions to open source software
