Staff Silicon Physical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute technically to the development of next generation AI superchips
• Use state-of-the-art EDA tools and in-house flows to deliver sign-off quality designs
• Enhance existing flows and in-house tools/APIs to support new features and methodologies
• Analyze and debug complex engineering problems to find workable solutions
• Collaborate with RTL, verification, DFT, architecture, and packaging teams

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related subject
• Minimum 6/7 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience in 7nm or smaller technologies
• Proficiency in programming/scripting, typically Tcl and Python
• Experience with physical design flows: Floorplanning, Synthesis, Place and Route, Clock CTS, Timing Analysis, Logical Equivalence, and Physical Verification (DRC/LVS/ERC)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

• In depth expertise in specific aspects of physical design flows
• Knowledge of silicon transistors, std cell libraries, and/or memories
• Experience with 2D and 3D design (CoWoS, UCIe etc.)
• Experience with high speed, high power, or full reticle chip designs
• Experience with Ethernet, PCIe, LPDDR, HBM, or UCIe implementations
• Expertise in power integrity and optimization
• Experience with 2nm or 3nm technologies
• Experience in technical leadership, team management, or project planning
