Staff/Senior Software Engineer, Product Teams

Responsibilities

• Own products and systems end-to-end, from scoping and building to shipping, monitoring, and iterating post-launch
• Build high-performance backend and full-stack systems that serve millions of users with high reliability
• Design clean, scalable APIs consumed by web, iOS, and Android clients
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and peer engineering teams
• Run experiments, instrument metrics, and make data-informed decisions to drive product growth
• Raise the technical bar through high-quality code, architectural thinking, and mentorship

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of software engineering experience
• Backend or full-stack experience building consumer products at scale
• Strong API design skills with experience supporting multiple client teams
• High comfort level with ambiguity and the ability to drive projects without fully defined specs
• Excellent communication skills, specifically regarding clear and dense asynchronous updates
• Strong product intuition and a focus on the end-user experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with feed architecture, recommendation systems, or search/retrieval at scale
• Experience shipping social product features like follow graphs or engagement systems
• Hands-on experience with AI image or video model inference (diffusion models, etc.)
• Full-stack capability including modern frontend frameworks like React, TypeScript, or NextJS
• Experience with Python, Django, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Postgres, or Redis
• Technical leadership experience in a fast-paced startup environment
