Staff/Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the modern data platform using Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and Google BigQuery
• Develop tools and features to increase efficiency for other data teams, including monitoring, data checks, and CI/CD
• Manage and optimize high-volume core ELT pipelines, moving terabytes of data from MySQL to BigQuery
• Deliver critical reports that serve as the foundation for Executive Board decision-making
• Act as a multiplier for other engineering teams by providing scalable data infrastructure

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Software Engineering with high-volume, business-critical pipelines
• Deep practical experience with Dagster, dbt, Google BigQuery (GBQ), and AWS (ECS)
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including CI/CD, testing, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience with infrastructure tools such as Docker and Terraform or CloudFormation
• Ability to communicate complex processes clearly and work effectively with various stakeholders
• Fluency in English
