Staff Scientist/Senior Manager, Biology

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage biology research and development programs from concept through commercialization
• Develop and execute scientific strategies, technology roadmaps, and innovation initiatives
• Lead, mentor, and develop scientific staff while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
• Manage multiple projects including resource planning, risk assessment, timelines, and budgets
• Serve as a senior technical resource for customer interactions and scientific collaborations
• Design and oversee experimental plans, data analysis, and technical reports
• Lead technology transfer activities and support process development and scale-up
• Support intellectual property development through invention disclosures and patent filings
• Monitor scientific, technical, regulatory, and industry trends

Requirements

• Ph.D. with 8+ years, M.S. with 12+ years, or B.S. with 15+ years of industry experience in Biology or related disciplines
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing scientific teams and complex R&D programs
• Strong scientific background in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or nucleic acid technologies
• Experience with product development, technology transfer, and commercialization
• Proven ability to develop strategy and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting intellectual property development and patent filings
• Experience in assay development and biological product development
