Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients within the 3W Progressive Care Unit using the nursing process
• Assess patient history, physiological status, and psychosocial status
• Execute medical and nursing treatment plans according to established protocols and standards
• Interpret EKG tracings as they relate to disease processes and drug therapies
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff throughout the continuum of care
• Provide patient and family education regarding care and safety
• Adhere to infection prevention guidelines and Joint Commission national patient safety goals
• Maintain regulatory compliance and participate in professional development and peer review

Requirements

• College Diploma in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License
• 1 year of nursing experience
• ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
