About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leads and domain experts to identify opportunities where modern AI can solve complex physical world problems.
- Lead technical execution from mathematical conceptualization to proof-of-concept, bridging the gap between research and validated products.
- Design next-generation neural architectures and custom training paradigms tailored to the physics of sensory data.
- Research techniques in model distillation, optimization, and neural architecture search to deploy efficient AI on edge compute platforms.
- Provide thought leadership by staying current with the global AI research landscape and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of industry experience translating complex theoretical research into working systems.
- Deep technical mastery of modern architectures such as Transformers, State Space Models (SSMs), or Diffusion Models.
- Proficiency in deep learning frameworks, specifically PyTorch or JAX.
- Experience with advanced training paradigms such as Self-Supervised Learning (SSL) or Reinforcement Learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with model quantization, distillation, or deploying models to embedded/edge targets.
- Knowledge of signal chains, digital signal processing (DSP), and fundamental circuit concepts.
- Familiarity with signal processing concepts such as Fourier transforms, noise floors, and sampling rates.
- A strong publication record in top-tier AI conferences or journals.
