Staff Reporter

Responsibilities

• Pitch, report, and write stories on the art market and art world in the UK and Europe
• Balance breaking news with original features and longer enterprise reporting
• Maintain an editorial slate with realistic deadlines and publish dates
• Collaborate with ARTnews staff on reporting projects
• Assist in the production of the Breakfast With ARTnews morning digest newsletter
• Collaborate with video and social media editors to develop storytelling across platforms

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in journalism, ideally covering the art market
• Knowledge of art, the art world, and major auction houses
• Ability to work quickly and accurately at digital speed
• Clear, engaging, jargon-free writing style
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
• Experience editing copy for publication
• Experience using content management systems and social media platforms
