Staff Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key point of contact for incoming, module, and vehicle kitting inspections
• Develop and maintain inspection metrics and quality management systems
• Manage MRB Dispositions to reduce company overhead
• Analyze data to ensure processes meet product quality and reliability expectations
• Implement quality plans for new customers, products, and technologies
• Utilize PPAP, PFMEA, CAPA, and RCCA to drive defect reduction
• Perform contract reviews and test data reviews for assemblies
• Coordinate with Purchasing to improve supplier quality performance
• Manage customer quality complaints and implement corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of quality experience in high-reliability manufacturing
• At least 5 years of electronic experience
• Understanding of IPC Industry Standards, MIL-STD, and NASA guidelines
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100
• Proficiency with AIAG Core Tools (SPC, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, QSA)
• US citizenship with ability to obtain DoD security clearance
• Excellent visual acuity and color distinction

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
• Certified Quality Manager (CQM-OE)
• Six Sigma Greenbelt (CSSGB)
