Staff Quality Engineer

Our iron-air battery production is underway at our first high-volume manufacturing facility in West Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to develop and document measurement, inspection, and test methods
• Support change management and execution of process development experiments
• Regularly review PFMEAs and Control Plans and support updates and revisions
• Lead and assist in the identification and resolution of manufacturing quality issues
• Participate in continuous improvement activities with Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and external Suppliers
• Support Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities to reduce manufacturing variation
• Lead non-conforming material control activities

Requirements

• 5-10 years of quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with SPC, PFMEAs, and Control Plans
• Strong aptitude with electronic test and measurement systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Structured problem-solving (8D) and analytical skills
• Technical skills in statistical tools, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Process Capability (Cpk, Ppk)
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field
