Staff Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation and coverage of test plans for the Network Appliance team
• Execute end-to-end test cases for hardware and software integration projects
• Ensure complete test plan execution prior to product release
• Collaborate with development teams to kickstart projects and define success criteria
• Act as a liaison between stakeholders to raise quality concerns in a timely manner
• Lead Bug Triage meetings and use metrics to monitor test plan progress
• Define and document testing best practices and strategies

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software quality, testing, and automation
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and application network protocols
• Experience with automated test infrastructure in a cloud environment
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies
• Demonstrated ability to perform exploratory testing and learn new technologies quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with device drivers in network appliance contexts
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS technologies and real-world network operations
• Understanding of network topologies and inter-device interactions
• Exposure to performance testing and tuning across hardware/software boundaries
• Multi-year experience working with AWS or other public cloud platforms
• Background in cybersecurity or security operations
