Staff Quality Control (QC) Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute and support the site-level QA/QC program for large-scale, mission-critical data center construction
• Develop, maintain, and execute Inspection Test Plans, checklists, and quality documentation
• Perform field inspections across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and controls scopes
• Validate installations against drawings, specifications, submittals, and code requirements
• Partner with construction managers, general contractors, and commissioning teams to resolve quality issues
• Track and manage deficiencies, punch list items, and non-conformance reports
• Support pre-functional and functional readiness activities in coordination with commissioning teams
• Review test reports, as-builts, and turnover documentation for accuracy
• Assist in root cause analysis for defects and recurring quality issues

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in construction QA/QC, quality engineering, or field engineering
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (electrical distribution, mechanical/cooling, and controls)
• Experience performing field inspections, punch walks, and deficiency tracking
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and submittals
• Experience supporting commissioning readiness or system turnover documentation
• Strong attention to detail and disciplined approach to documentation
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Amarillo, TX

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center or hyperscale construction experience
• Experience in complex environments like semiconductor, refinery, or industrial infrastructure
• Familiarity with Procore, BIM360, Autodesk Build, or Bluebeam
• Relevant certifications such as CQM, CQI, PMP, or ASQ
