About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct mental health services to students, including diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based individual and group interventions.
- Lead the development and implementation of the advanced doctoral practicum program in alignment with APA standards.
- Supervise advanced doctoral practicum trainees, including coordinating weekly consultation and didactic seminars.
- Perform crisis intervention and assess levels of risk for the student population.
- Provide outreach and supportive programming to the university and greater Evansville community to promote mental health awareness.
- Document all clinical contacts and services in a timely and thorough manner.
- Collaborate with the CAPS leadership team to manage trainee recruitment, selection, and evaluation.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-approved doctoral program.
- Completion of an APA-approved pre-doctoral internship.
- Independent licensure as a psychologist in Indiana (with HSPP designation) or eligibility to obtain Indiana licensure.
- Experience in time-limited individual therapy, crisis intervention, and group therapy.
- Strong knowledge of legal, ethical, and professional standards in psychology and tele-behavior health.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience coordinating or directing a training program within a university counseling center.
- Experience providing clinical supervision to graduate-level clinical supervisees.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
- Specialized skills in substance abuse or working with underserved and under-resourced student populations.
- Experience with Titanium Schedule.
