Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and oversee Site Safety and Health Plans (SSHP) and Emergency Response Plans (ERP) for utility-scale BESS projects
• Serve as the primary safety authority throughout planning, construction, energization, and commissioning phases
• Lead and administer field safety training for staff and contractors, focusing on electrical safety (NFPA 70E) and chemical handling
• Manage site-specific environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste tracking and reporting
• Define and manage the PPE program, including procurement and inventory
• Lead investigations for field incidents or near-misses and implement corrective actions

Requirements

• 8+ years of occupational health and field safety experience in construction or utility-scale projects
• Proven experience managing hazardous waste programs and emergency response plans
• OSHA 30-hour certification
• Bachelor’s degree or greater in engineering or physical science
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or CHMM
