Responsibilities

  • Create conceptual project layouts, single line diagrams, and support interconnection and permitting applications
  • Lead the development of balance of plant design packages, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and network architecture
  • Provide technical support during project execution, including reviewing RFIs, submittals, and field quality checks
  • Support Project Managers with document control, budget oversight, quality control, and schedule management
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering and Product Management teams to document technical specifications
  • Travel to client or project sites up to 30% of the time

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in renewable energy project engineering or deployment
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Proven track record executing utility-scale energy storage or renewable energy projects
  • Strong knowledge of ESS installation codes and standards (NFPA70, NFPA 855, IEEE 1547, IEEE 2800, UL9540, UL9540A)
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, EPC contractors, and AHJs
