Staff Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional efforts to define and evolve availability metrics, including SLIs and SLOs
• Drive production incident response, diagnosis, and root cause analysis
• Architect and improve observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
• Identify reliability risks and performance bottlenecks across distributed systems
• Design automation and tooling to reduce operational toil and enable self-healing infrastructure
• Partner with compute, networking, and storage teams to strengthen resilience
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Production Engineering, SRE, or large-scale infrastructure operations
• Experience supporting GPU workloads, HPC environments, or latency-sensitive distributed systems
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and kernel/user space debugging
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience with Terraform or Ansible
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C, or C++
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms at scale
• Experience designing self-healing systems or automated remediation
• Exposure to structured root cause analysis and change management processes
