Staff Product Manager, Wallet Authentication

Responsibilities

• Define and own the roadmap for authentication flows, fraud prevention, wallet recovery, and machine-to-machine authentication.
• Own first-factor and second-factor authentication, including passwordless, passkeys, and identifier-based flows.
• Define requirements for secure, scalable authentication for API consumers and AI agents.
• Translate threat intelligence into product requirements for credential stuffing mitigation and real-time risk signals.
• Drive the product vision for automated wallet recovery to improve member experience and reduce operational costs.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Risk & Fraud, and Design to ship authentication features at internet scale.
• Monitor core metrics including first-factor pass rates, MFA adoption, and support ticket deflection.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience.
• 3+ years of experience owning authentication, identity, or security platform products.
• Deep working knowledge of modern authentication protocols: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, FIDO2/WebAuthn, SAML, and TOTP.
• Experience with API authentication patterns (API keys, OAuth client credentials, mTLS).
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to lead architectural discussions with Principal Engineers.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with identity assurance frameworks (NIST 800-63-4 AAL/IAL).
• Experience with authentication for AI agents, MCP servers, or other autonomous systems.
• Proven ability to ship products within highly regulated security and compliance environments.
