Staff Product Manager, Lending

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product strategy for Airwallex’s lending platform, including embedded and first-party lending capabilities
• Lead high-impact initiatives across origination, underwriting, servicing, repayment, and portfolio optimization
• Identify major market opportunities and translate them into multi-quarter roadmaps and execution plans
• Partner with engineering, design, data, credit risk, legal, compliance, and finance leaders to deliver outcomes
• Shape product trade-offs across growth, unit economics, customer experience, and risk performance
• Build scalable product frameworks and operating models to enable global expansion
• Mentor other product managers and raise the standard of product craft and strategic thinking across the organization

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience, including substantial product management in fintech, financial services, or lending
• Proven track record of leading large, ambiguous product areas from strategy through execution
• Deep experience building or scaling lending, credit, or embedded finance products
• Strong commercial and analytical judgment with the ability to balance customer needs and risk
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence senior cross-functional stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with strong academic achievement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience across both embedded lending and first-party lending products
• Experience working with credit risk, underwriting models, or capital structures
• Understanding of SME banking, lending regulations, and global market structures
• Experience launching zero-to-one products in high-growth environments
• Background in software engineering, quantitative disciplines, or strategy consulting
