Staff Product Manager, Billing

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the payments and billing product strategy, including vision, solution design, and roadmap execution.
• Build and enhance billing and invoicing solutions for recurring payments, automated reconciliation, and global compliance.
• Leverage AI/ML insights to optimize processes such as automated invoice categorization, fraud prevention, and churn prediction.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, and commercial teams to deliver scalable global products.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team of Product Managers, fostering innovation and responsible AI adoption.
• Rapidly iterate on new features like subscription management and flexible pricing models based on user feedback.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in Product Management.
• Direct exposure to payments, billing, invoicing, or financial services.
• Proven track record of scaling products from ideation to global delivery.
• Hands-on experience building or managing billing systems (subscription billing, automated reconciliation, etc.).
• Strong data-driven decision-making skills and ability to leverage analytics.
• Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building end-user experiences for merchant payment solutions or subscription billing with AI automation.
• Background in hyper-growth startup environments or fintech.
• Experience collaborating with AI/ML engineers on use cases like fraud detection or revenue recognition.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, or a related field.
