Staff Product Launch Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and own production testing specifications for ECU programs to ensure scalability and feasibility
• Drive industrialization of ECU flashing processes using protocols like JTAG, DAP, and ISP
• Lead DFT analysis with contract manufacturers to optimize test coverage and throughput
• Coordinate test engineering activities across global contract manufacturer sites
• Drive completion of PFMEA and PPAP to ensure alignment with quality gate requirements
• Perform root cause analysis on production test failures and implement design changes
• Monitor production testing KPIs including FPY, OEE, and capacity utilization

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in developing and commissioning test equipment (ICT, EOL, programming stations)
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency with communication protocols including CAN, TCP/IP, UDS, and XCP
• Experience with programming interfaces such as JTAG, DAP, and ISP
• Hands-on experience with production testing capacity analysis and OEE
• Proficiency in LabVIEW, Python, and NI TestStand for test automation
• Experience with modular test instruments (PXI, cDAQ) and various bus protocols
• Ability to travel to domestic and international contract manufacturer locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in automotive, semiconductor, or consumer electronics industries
• Experience with HW cloud data products and storage data arrays like AWS
• Deep understanding of automotive PPAP processes and IATF/VDA quality systems
