Staff Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend architecture and implementation of the core member-facing product
• Partner with product and design to translate vision into polished, performant interfaces
• Set the standard for frontend code quality, component architecture, and design system usage
• Instrument the frontend for performance and reliability
• Use AI to accelerate prototyping, code review, and documentation
• Apply AI to enhance the member experience through personalization and intelligent UI

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience with consumer-facing mobile or web products
• Deep expertise in React Native or React, TypeScript, and modern state management
• Production experience with Next.js (App Router, SSR/CSR, caching)
• Strong design sensibility and ability to work from Figma files
• Solid understanding of rendering patterns and performance optimization
• Experience operating at a Senior or Staff level
• Experience in a fast-moving startup environment
• Proficiency using AI tools and coding agents like Claude or Cursor

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with health or wellness consumer apps
• Deployment experience on Vercel or AWS
• Experience with monorepos such as Turborepo or Nx
• Familiarity with BFF patterns
• Strong testing habits including unit and e2e testing
• Experience building AI-powered or personalized product experiences
