Staff Product Designer, Design Systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits to gather use cases and UX patterns across digital products to create reusable component and pattern definitions.
• Identify inconsistencies in existing component usage and deviations from the established design system.
• Work collaboratively with product teams to ensure alignment and adoption of consistent components and patterns.
• Partner with developers to implement and quality check components.
• Craft comprehensive component and pattern usage guidelines.
• Enforce processes to guide the appropriate usage and upkeep of the design system.
• Champion the value of the design system to internal stakeholders to drive organizational adoption.
• Continuously enhance the design system based on user feedback, industry best practices, and emerging trends.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a designer.
• 2+ years of experience specifically maintaining a design system.
• Strong UI design skills with high proficiency in Figma.
• A portfolio demonstrating deep product design craftsmanship and innovative solutions from conception to launch.
• Excellent methodical and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with content strategy.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS.
