Staff Product Designer, Design Systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits to gather use cases and UX patterns across digital products to create reusable component and pattern definitions
• Identify inconsistencies in existing component usage and deviations from the design system
• Work collaboratively with product teams to ensure alignment and adoption of consistent components and patterns
• Partner with developers to implement and quality check components
• Craft comprehensive component and pattern usage guidelines
• Enforce processes to guide the appropriate usage and upkeep of the design system
• Champion the value of the design system to internal stakeholders to drive organizational adoption
• Continuously enhance the design system based on user feedback, industry best practices, and emerging trends

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a designer
• 2+ years of experience specifically maintaining a design system
• A portfolio demonstrating deep product design craftsmanship and innovative solutions from conception to launch
• Strong UI design skills with high proficiency in Figma
• Excellent methodical and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of content strategy
• Understanding of HTML/CSS
