Staff/Principal Engineer, SSD Tester System Architect

Responsibilities

• Architect high-performance semiconductor memory test equipment products, including requirements, performance models, and specifications
• Define and evolve the test equipment strategy and roadmap in partnership with customers and internal teams
• Drive the development of scalable and secure test equipment from high-level strategy to component integration
• Collaborate multi-functionally with mechanical, hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure product quality and reliability
• Lead pathfinding initiatives for architectures incorporating future generations of SSD testing technologies
• Mentor system architects and engineers to support their technical development
• Represent the Systems Integration Group in technical discussions with customers and industry partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in electrical, electronics, and system-level design
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, interfaces, and digital/analog circuit designs
• Experience with high-speed engineering, signal integrity, and industry-standard simulation tools
• Proficiency with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and digital meters
• Familiarity with the full product life cycle of sophisticated test equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (MSEE or higher)
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as PCIe, NVMe, or Ethernet
• Experience with SSD testing methodologies and workflows
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and Python or other scripting languages for automation
• Understanding of industry standards like JEDEC and PCI-SIG
