Staff Power Electronics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and design high-power AC and DC systems for consumer and commercial EV chargers
• Collaborate with engineers in the development of high-power AC to DC and DC to DC converters
• Design and develop advanced soft switching 40-100 kW, up to 2000 VDC multi-level converters
• Design and develop a multi-level 100-200 kW, up to 2000 VDC four-quadrant grid tie inverter
• Manage all aspects of product design including modeling, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and magnetics design
• Utilize power topologies such as LLC, phase-shifted full bridge, flyback, forward, and multi-level converters
• Model power designs using tools like PLECS, MATLAB, and Spice
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve architectural and validation issues
• Ensure high product reliability under stress conditions

Requirements

• M.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering (PhD preferred)
• 8+ years of experience bringing power electronics products to market
• Strong electrical/electronic design skills and system-level engineering understanding
• Experience designing AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems
• Ability to drive solutions across software, mechanical, power, and thermal boundaries
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and test
• Current knowledge of industry standards for consumer and industrial products

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of EV charging standards
