Staff Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build tools and applications to extend the infrastructure platform
• Evaluate and guide the development of applications across the organization
• Exercise deep expertise in cloud infrastructure concepts and patterns
• Evangelize patterns for application teams to consume for cloud native applications development
• Foster a collaborative environment of learning and knowledge dissemination

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or software development
• 4+ years of experience leading technical projects
• Strong Go (Golang) development experience, specifically writing APIs for cloud infrastructure
• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes patterns such as Controllers and Operators
• Deep experience designing and running highly-available production applications
• Technical knowledge of GCP, distributed systems, and reliability practices
• Understanding of Linux operating system and systems engineering fundamentals
• Working knowledge of software/infrastructure tuning and observability (Datadog)
• Availability for on-call rotation
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
