Staff Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and operation of services in FedRAMP High-aligned environments
• Design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS and AWS GovCloud
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform
• Operate Kubernetes-based services and Helm-based deployment workflows
• Improve reliability, observability, and access controls for platform systems
• Participate in incident triage and operational support
• Mentor other engineers on secure infrastructure and compliance-aware operations

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Hands-on experience operating production infrastructure in AWS
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code, specifically Terraform
• Experience operating Kubernetes-based workloads and Helm-based deployments
• Strong understanding of cloud security fundamentals (IAM, networking, encryption)
• Ability to translate security or compliance requirements into technical changes
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS GovCloud
• Experience with FedRAMP, DoD, or public-sector cloud environments
• Experience with compliance automation platforms like Vanta
• Knowledge of frameworks such as SOC 2, NIST 800-53, or ISO 27001
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
