Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary authority on Design for Reliability (DfR) for critical electro-mechanical plant subsystems
  • Mentor peers and guide cross-functional design failure analyses (DFMEAs)
  • Translate high-level product goals into rigorous reliability requirements
  • Define the roadmap for validating component and sub-system lifetimes
  • Design and lead complex experiments to uncover failure mechanisms and determine root causes
  • Establish methods to accelerate failure rates in test, focusing on industrial control panels and associated subcomponents
  • Champion safety standards across all reliability testing and design processes

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of industry experience
  • Expertise in developing new tests to evaluate performance and reliability of electrical and electromechanical systems
  • Experience with outdoor power electronics or industrial control panels (including actuators, fans, and fluid systems)
  • Familiarity with developing accelerated lifetime tests to assess component reliability
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
