About the role
Responsibilities
- Secure timely posting of schedules to meet store needs
- Provide expertise, support, and training to end-users in scheduling
- Support the Staff Planning Manager with administrative elements of schedule management
- Ensure compliance with IKEA employment standards, legal requirements, and labor rules
- Partner with department managers to develop quality schedules aligned with forecasted hours and skill levels
- Contribute to the full staff planning process from forecasting to execution
- Drive process optimization initiatives to enhance staffing effectiveness
- Build leaders' awareness of the staff planning process through education and support
Requirements
- Proven staff scheduling experience
- Experience in a customer-focused service industry, preferably retail
- Knowledge of scheduling software
- Strong understanding of performance metrics and staffing optimization
- Ability to translate business needs into actionable schedules
- High attention to detail and structured way of working
- Ability to handle conflict, negotiation, and stakeholder pressure
