Staff PDK Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop schematic symbols, CDFs, callbacks, and device layout generators (PCELLs)
• Develop and improve physical verification rule decks, including DRC, LVS, and ERC
• Develop and validate Parasitic Extraction (PEX) technology files and flows
• Create automated QA procedures to improve the efficiency and integrity of design kits
• Develop runsets for performing Layout vs Layout (LVL) and Schematic vs Schematic (SVS) checks
• Enhance and maintain netlist generation procedures for analog circuit simulation tools
• Collaborate with EDA software vendors to resolve tool bugs and drive new feature additions
• Partner with design teams, device modeling, and process engineering to enable efficient CAD methodologies
• Provide technical CAD support to the internal ADI design community

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with an emphasis on IC design and semiconductor processes
• Demonstrated experience with CDFs, Callbacks, Layout P-cells, and schematic symbols
• Proven experience in the development of DRC, LVS, and Parasitic Extraction runsets
• Proficiency in automation and programming languages such as SKILL, Perl, Python, Tcl, or Bash
• Thorough understanding of physical verification (DRC/LVS) tools and methodologies
• Knowledge of parasitic extraction tools from Siemens or Cadence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on Bipolar or High Voltage BCD processes
• Understanding of analog/mixed-signal simulation tools
• Familiarity with revision control systems and collaboration tools
• 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of experience with a Master's degree
