Staff Optimization Consultant

Responsibilities

• Leverage massive datasets and industry trends to identify high-impact opportunities that boost customer payment performance.
• Create and continuously refine standard methodologies and playbooks for payment optimization.
• Lead deep-dive strategic discussions with enterprise clients regarding their payment performance.
• Train Sales and Account Management teams on payment optimization tactics and tools.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to build AI/ML-powered optimization techniques for smart routing and cost reduction.
• Synthesize client feedback to directly influence core product roadmaps.
• Liaise with external global stakeholders, including major card issuers and networks, to optimize the payment pipeline.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the payments space.
• Deep understanding of e-commerce, card-based processing, and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of card network rules and regulatory environments (e.g., PSD2/PSD3).
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or Databricks.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to tell a story using data.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting high-level strategy to C-suite executives.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth, and ambiguous environment.
