Staff Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Procedure Unit, including Cath Lab, EP Lab, and OBS Recovery
• Manage care for patients undergoing right heart cardiac catheterization, including those with heart failure or pulmonary hypertension
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, technical staff, and anesthesia
• Monitor arrhythmias and hemodynamic pressures
• Manage airway and provide conscious sedation as required

Requirements

• Current Michigan nursing licensure
• Current ACLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years of ICU or ED experience within the last 3 years
• Experience with arrhythmia monitoring and hemodynamic pressure monitoring
• Experience with conscious sedation and airway management
• Experience with telephone triage and coordination of care

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• Recent Cardiac ICU experience
• Previous experience in EP/Cath Lab or caring for cardiac procedure patients
• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump therapy or other ventricular assist devices
• Previous experience as a float RN
