Staff Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Ketamine patients
• Conduct and document Outpatient ECT Assessments
• Work within the ECT PACU environment
• Anticipate the clinical care needs of complex psychiatric patients
• Collaborate closely with all multidisciplinary team members

Requirements

• Current RN license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
• Minimum of 1 year of recent psychiatric nursing experience
• ACLS / PALS Certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
• Experience with Welle, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), or NAPPI
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical care needs

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• Recent ECT nursing experience within the last year
• Recent experience completing ECT Assessments
• Recent experience using UM-MiChart
• Knowledge of cognitive behavioral treatment for depression and other psychiatric disorders

Benefits

• Base rate of $55.00/hr
• Evening shift differentials available
• Night shift and weekend differentials available
• Note: As a temporary position, this role may not qualify for standard UMHS benefits; specific terms are negotiated at the department level.
