Staff Nurse (RN), Adult Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Manage patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop and adjust individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Prepare and administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and safety protocols
• Document all patient care activities accurately from admission to discharge
• Coordinate with Case Managers to facilitate clinical paths and discharge planning
• Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a high-acuity environment
• Utilize appropriate assessment skills to determine and respond to changing patient needs

Requirements

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited School of Nursing
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher
• Current Illinois RN license
• Active BLS certification
• Enrollment in SANE-AA or SANE-P certification within 6 months of employment (18 months for new grads)
• Ability to work onsite in Hyde Park, Chicago, on a day shift schedule (including every other weekend)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in an Emergency Department (ED) setting
