Staff Mobile Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of the mobile platform by designing and evolving core architecture for native iOS and Android applications.
• Own and maintain critical shared libraries and frameworks, including design systems, analytics, authentication, and observability.
• Drive mobile application security, reliability, and performance, tracking metrics such as crash-free sessions and app startup time.
• Elevate developer experience by owning and improving mobile CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise) and automation tooling.
• Manage the end-to-end mobile release process and establish engineering best practices across the organization.
• Act as a hands-on technical leader and mentor, providing guidance to senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews and coaching.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience building native mobile applications on iOS or Android.
• At least 3+ years of experience operating at a Senior or Staff level.
• Deep expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, or async/await for iOS, or Kotlin, AndroidX, Jetpack, and Coroutines for Android.
• Proven track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives and evolving complex mobile architectures.
• Experience owning and improving mobile CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
• Strong focus on code quality, testability, and designing for maintainability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience defining and driving a mobile platform roadmap.
• Prior ownership of shared mobile libraries or frameworks used by multiple product teams at scale.
• Hands-on experience with design systems, feature flagging, and observability tooling (e.g., Crashlytics, Sentry).
• Background in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS environments.
