Staff ML Engineer

Responsibilities

• Explore and analyze data using Python, pandas, and PySpark to identify user behavior patterns and topic clusters
• Create, tune, and productionize ML models for categorization, recommendations, and ranking tasks
• Design and implement AI-driven ingest flows to turn unstructured inputs into structured data
• Build automated workflows for auto-filling fields, suggesting actions, and handling repetitive requests
• Partner with product teams to identify and scope AI opportunities and provide architecture guidance
• Mentor junior data and ML engineers through code reviews and technical pairing
• Establish standards for experimentation, documentation, and responsible AI usage

Requirements

• 5+ years in data science, ML engineering, or a similar applied role
• Strong Python skills and experience with pandas for data analysis
• Experience with PySpark or other distributed data processing frameworks
• Solid understanding of supervised learning, matrix factorization, and embeddings
• Proficiency with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks
• Strong SQL and experience with modern data warehouses or data lakes
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and production integration of ML models
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs and language-centric workflows (RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning)
• Experience building agent-assist features or automated workflows
• Familiarity with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, or Vertex
• Prior experience in a platform or enablement role
