Staff Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take technical leadership in design closure for ports systems in collaboration with the ports team
• Finalize CAD models and ensure all technical requirements are met
• Support procurement in the preparation and execution of contracts
• Ensure quality, conformance, and management of process deviations
• Manage budgets and schedules to ensure on-time delivery and cost management
• Provide production support through final delivery, including preassembly and assembly stages

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong track record in structural analysis
• Advanced proficiency using Ansys for structural analysis
• Experience in machining complex parts and CNC machining
• Knowledge of CMM, spatial, and volumetric measurement
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights, weekends, or on-call

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with components in vacuum environments
• Experience with engineering plasma science
