Staff Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive manufacturing strategy and NPI execution for Comet from early development through production ramp
• Lead factory development initiatives including greenfield factory planning, facility layout, and manufacturing line design
• Partner with product design teams to provide DFM/DFA feedback throughout development phases

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or factory development in high-complexity hardware industries
• Demonstrated experience scaling complex hardware products from prototype to production environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing or scaling spacecraft, satellite, or avionics production systems
• Experience supporting greenfield factory builds or major factory expansions
• Familiarity with automation systems, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies
