Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for Preply’s ML platform to support growing GenAI adoption.
• Lead the architecture of platform capabilities across the full ML lifecycle, including experimentation, training, and deployment.
• Design cloud-native infrastructure for distributed training and inference, focusing on GPU environments and cost optimization.
• Set technical direction for CI/CD for ML, embedding testing, security, and performance checks.
• Establish observability standards for model metrics, drift detection, and data quality.
• Lead the evolution of GenAI and LLM platform capabilities, including LLM Gateway services and vector retrieval infrastructure.
• Partner with Applied Science, Data, and Product leadership to align platform investments with business impact.
• Design self-service tooling and abstractions to accelerate ML Scientist workflows.
• Mentor senior engineers and act as a technical multiplier across the organization.

Requirements

• 9+ years of engineering experience in large-scale ML, data, or platform systems.
• Proven track record of architecting production-grade ML platforms.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and end-to-end ML workflows.
• Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience building enabling tools for Data Scientists and Applied Scientists.
• Strong technical judgment regarding scalability, security, and cost.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influence skills.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector stores.
